Thank you to the "Cardinals Care" Organization for their generous
May 2002, October 2003, June 2005 , and June 2006 grants each for $2,500 to support our Cardinal Power Kids Program!!!

The funds will be used to purchase special equipment, support on going staff education, and offer student scholarships.
Thank you also to Anheuser-Busch for their two grants totaling $1,300 to support this unique & growing program.

Special Groups such as Ranken-Jordan, Giant Steps, and Special School District attend Cardinal Power Kids modified field trips throughout the year.  See below comments.

"Cardinal Power Kids Classes are extremely beneficial to the physically and mentally disabled children at Ranken Jordan.  Patients participate in many activities including, but no limited to, obstacle courses, balance beam, foam pit, and stretching.  The most rewarding aspect about this experience is the activity level of the patients and the look on their faces.  They are always smiling and participate more during Cardinal Power Kids Classes than when they are in a therapy session at Ranken Jordan.  The children are having so much fun and are instructed by a new person. They don't realize they are receiving therapy while playing in the gym"

Team Central Gymnastic Academy is a Special Olympics
Gymnastics Training Center!!!  

Welcome to our exciting world of specialty gymnastics at Team Central Gymnastic Academy.  We are a 22,000 sq. ft. National Gymnastic Training Center located in Maryland Heights, near Hwy. 270 & Dorsett Rd unique to St. Louis and one of only a few in the nation.  We offer a unique gymnastics and movement program endorsed by medical staff and physical therapists called "Cardinal Power Kids" for children who are developmentally delayed or physically challenged.  This dynamic program has received financial support from the St. Louis Cardinals "Cardinals Care" organization.  Physical therapists have assisted with the selection of special equipment and development of individualized curriculum to enhance the physical and emotional progress of each special child.  Wheelchair students are also welcome.  Our trained teaching staff create a fun, safe and educational environment.  We are a certified Special Olympic Gymnastic Training and Meet Site.  Our program develops flexibility, coordination, strength and self-confidence.   Discounted Group Field Trips are also available.  Special Olympics training is an option for children ages 9& up.

Financial-needs scholarships are available at this time.
